Hoshiarpur- MLA from Chabbewal assembly constituency Dr. Ishank visited village Data-Chela, where heavy damage was caused due to the terrible fire that broke out last night. The fire incident seriously affected the land and livestock. But fortunately, there was no loss of life.
Dr. Ishank reached the spot and met the affected families and took stock of the incident site. He appreciated the prompt action of the fire department and said that if the fire brigade vehicles had not reached on time, the damage could have been even more horrific. The fire brigade controlled the fire in difficult circumstances and saved many families from potential danger. 
The house was burnt to ashes due to the fire. Many livestock were also scorched, which caused a major economic shock to the people. Local residents said that the fire may have been caused by a short circuit or lightning, but this can only be confirmed after an administrative inquiry.
Dr. Ishank ordered the administrative officials present at the spot to implement relief and rehabilitation works expeditiously. Assuring all possible help to the affected families, he said, “The state government stands with the affected people. I will personally ensure that the affected families get relief and other necessary help at the earliest.” 
He appealed to the people to maintain restraint and avoid any kind of rumours. He also said that security measures in the area would be strengthened so that such incidents do not recur in future. The visit proved to be a ray of hope for the villagers and the people thanked MLA Dr. Ishank.
