Rajouri/Jammu, April 20 - PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti today targeted the National Conference, claiming that the ruling party is afraid to talk about Article 370 and is implementing the BJP's agenda in Jammu and Kashmir. Calling on the people to strengthen the party, she said that her party not only wants to be the voice of the people of Jammu and Kashmir, but also wants to raise its voice for the oppressed Muslim community of the country. The former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister slammed the National Conference government while addressing the people in Rajouri. It is worth mentioning that Mehbooba held several meetings with party workers during her first visit to the region after the PDP's poor performance in the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections last year.
The PDP chief said while talking to reporters that the NC-led government has failed to meet the expectations of the people. Mehbooba Mufti alleged that the National Conference government in the state was bowing to the BJP's anti-Muslim agenda. Targeting Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, Mehbooba said that the Muslims of the country were hoping that a Muslim Chief Minister in a Muslim-majority state would raise his voice or at least say that he would not implement this law in Jammu and Kashmir.
