
Baisakhi festival celebrated at Sant Ishar Singh Public School.
SAS Nagar, April 12: Baisakhi festival was celebrated with full pomp and show at Sant Ishar Singh Public School, Phase-7, Mohali. On this occasion, a special prayer meeting was organized during which the students of the school presented a colorful program depicting the importance of Baisakhi.

The students presented speeches and poems on the occasion of Baisakhi and Dr. Ambedkar's birthday. On this occasion, the children participated in Bhangra and Giddha based on Punjabi folk songs. The UKG students of the school performed ramp vocals and Bhangra in traditional costumes.
School Principal Mrs. Inderjit Kaur Sandhu said that Baisakhi is a special festival of North India. On this day, Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji had created the Khalsa Panth by administering Amrit to the Panj Pyares. From this day, the wheat harvest begins and the Desi month also begins from this Sangrand day. On the occasion of Baisakhi, Diwans are decorated in Gurdwaras and fairs are organized in villages. School Director Pawandeep Kaur Gill, while extending her best wishes to the students on Baisakhi, said that we should celebrate all the festivals together so that we remain connected to our heritage and instill a sense of brotherhood among the children.
