
A delegation of Vishwa Punjabi Prachar Sabha met DEO UT Chandigarh
Today a delegation of the office bearers of Vishwa Punjabi Prachar Sabha met with the newly appointed DEO UT Chandigarh Mr. Rajan Jain at his office Sector-19, Chandigarh. Among the office bearers of the delegation, President Prince Bahadur Singh Gassal, Senior Vice President Jagtar Singh Jasg, State Convener Punjab Jaspal Singh Kanwal, Advisor Surjan Singh Jassal and Balwinder Singh Dhariwal welcomed and congratulated Mr. Rajan on becoming the new DEO.

Prince Bahadur Singh Ghasal, who has been the president of the UT Welfare Association for 15 years, said that all the members of his organization are very happy to have Rajan Jain as the DEO. Because Mr. Jain is a high caste teacher of Physics and has been active in the welfare works of his fellow teachers and teachers.
On this occasion, while discussing education with the DEO Sahib, Prince Ghasal introduced himself to all the office bearers of his institution while talking about the education reforms in UT. and assured all possible help for educational reforms.
In this first meeting, the delegation of Vishwa Punjabi Prachar Sabha demanded that the importance of Punjabi should be emphasized in UT Chandigarh and tri-lingual poets' durbar should be held in selected schools so that children get an opportunity to speak openly in Punjabi. In the second demand, the delegation appealed that separate sections should be created for those schools which have 10 or more than 10 children studying Punjabi. Therefore, Prince Ghasal reminded the old instructions issued by the department.
The delegation also demanded that Punjabi should be given to all the students of the first class according to the rules, so that the interest of those children in Punjabi is maintained from the beginning. The delegation appealed to make proper arrangements for the maintenance of more and more Punjabi books in the school libraries. In this regard, the delegation assured all kinds of help from their organization and also offered to give free books in Punjabi.
Similarly, the members of the organization demanded encouragement for girls' education in UT schools And sought support for the project "Ladi Meri Ladli" being run by the department.
DEO UT Mr. Rajan Jain, while recalling the educational welfare schemes of the President of the Institute, Bahadur Singh Ghasal, thanked the Institute for the welcome and suggestions for educational reforms. And fully assured that their demands will also be considered.
