Srinagar- A major fire broke out in the Tak Masjid area of ??Jammu and Kashmir's Shopian district early on Tuesday, gutting three commercial buildings and a residential house. Fire and emergency services officials said that a fire broke out in a commercial building in the Tak Masjid area at around 3:50 am. The fire spread to other buildings in no time. Three commercial buildings and a residential house were gutted in the incident.
20 shops of various types built in these buildings were also damaged. As soon as the information about the fire was received, several fire tenders were sent to the spot from Shopian. Later, additional fire engines were also sent from Kiram Rajpora and Pulwama headquarters. Firefighters worked hard to control the fire. They said that no one was injured in the incident. The cause of the fire is being investigated.
