Agricultural extension program organized in KVK

Una, March 1- Agricultural extension program was organized under the chairmanship of Regional Manager Anchal Office Shimla Manoj Kumar at Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Rampur through the divisional office Hamirpur of Punjab National Bank. 60 self-help groups of Una district participated in the agricultural extension program and gained important information. Manoj Srivastava said that the main objective of this Agri Expo is to provide information about various schemes of the bank by ensuring access to farmers and rural women.

Una, March 1- Agricultural extension program was organized under the chairmanship of Regional Manager Anchal Office Shimla Manoj Kumar at Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Rampur through the divisional office Hamirpur of Punjab National Bank. 60 self-help groups of Una district participated in the agricultural extension program and gained important information. Manoj Srivastava said that the main objective of this Agri Expo is to provide information about various schemes of the bank by ensuring access to farmers and rural women.
Through Agri Expo, women of self-help groups are being made aware about the formation of groups, financial assistance and starting employment. He said that it is very important for women to be self-reliant in the progress of the country. If the woman of every household is financially empowered, then along with running the house, her contribution in the progress of the country will also increase.
In this Agri Expo, PNB officials gave detailed information to the self-help groups and farmers about various schemes being run in the agricultural sector so that more and more farmers and women can benefit and strengthen their economy.
Regional Manager Manoj Kumar Srivastava heard the problems of women of self-help groups including Ashtama duty, incidental charges, CIBIL charges and other problems and assured to put it before the higher officials so that women can get relief from the related problems.
During this, information was also given about various welfare schemes being run by RSETI and Agriculture Department. Also, an exhibition of machinery equipment and products made by self-help groups was also organized by the Agriculture Department.
In the program, self-help groups doing excellent work were honored with a certificate and a plant.
On this occasion, Deputy Director Agriculture Kulbhushan Dhiman, Deputy General Manager Rajneesh Vasudeva, Rajendra Paul from Anchal Office Shimla, Arvind Kumar from Divisional Office Hamirpur, LDM Lahri Mal, Chief Manager PNB Una Piyush Kumar and others were present.
