Punjab's First Equestrian Festival;

SAS Nagar, February 22: In order to host Punjab's First Equestrian Festival scheduled on March 1 and 2, by the Department of Tourism and Cultural Affairs, Punjab, the District Administration SAS Nagar has fully geared up.

SAS Nagar, February 22: In order to host Punjab's First Equestrian Festival scheduled on March 1 and 2, by the Department of Tourism and Cultural Affairs, Punjab, the District Administration SAS Nagar has fully geared up.       
Divulging the details, the Deputy Commissioner Aashika Jain said that the event is being organised at The Ranch, Forest Hills, Karoran where preparation are going on full swing. She said that besides holding preparatory meetings at District Administrative Complex, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Rural Development), Sonam Chaudhary visited the venue yesterday and took stock of the arrangements being done on ground. 
       She said that the festival would have a number of events such as Horse Jumping, Ring Competitions of Marwari and Nukra Horses, Tent Pegging, All Horse Breeds Display, Heritage Fashion Show, Cultural Events, Food and Shopping Exhibitions and Expert Talk Show spanning on two days. The timing will be 8:00 am to 7:00 pm daily.       
ADC Sonam Chaudhary added that Horses from reputed stud farms and clubs across the state and country would participate during the festival. She said that the preparations for state's first Equestrian Festival are on full swing and various departments have been enrolled to make the festival a great success. Apart from that, professional horse riding competitions' organisers have also been engaged so that all the arrangements could be in place before the event. 
She also interacted with the representatives of The Ranch, Forest Hill, Deepinder Singh Brar and Harjinder Singh Khosa regarding the arrangements being done.
