
PPCB defeated NPL Rajpura by 47 runs in friendly match
Patiala, February 12- A friendly cricket match dedicated to the environment was played between Punjab Pollution Control Board (PPCB) and NPL Rajpura in Rajpura. Secretary of STE Department of Punjab Government Priyank Bharti was the chief guest in this match and he also played the match on behalf of PPCB. Under the captaincy of Harmesh Singh, PPCB scored 153 runs in the stipulated 20 overs.

Under the captaincy of Harmesh Singh, PPCB scored 153 runs in the stipulated 20 overs.
For PPCB, Vikram scored 53 and Mohit Singla scored an unbeaten 40 runs. Sandeep took 3 and Gurkaran Singh took 2 wickets. While chasing the target, the NPL team could score only 106 runs and lost the match by 47 runs. Apart from this, other cricket lovers including veterans were also present and enjoyed the match. Apart from the Chairman and Member Secretary, Chief Executive Officer Suresh Kumar Narang, Head (O&M) Rajesh Kumar and DGM Rajeev Bhandari and other dignitaries were also present along with their staff.
PPCB distributed prizes to the best performing players in the match. Vikram was declared the best batsman and Sandeep Kumar was declared Man of the Match and Best Bowler. CEE Lavneet Dubey thanked the NPL management for organizing the match.
