
47th Athletic Meet: Gurvirditta Singh and Diya declared best athletes
Patiala, January 31- The 47th Athletics Meet and Prize Distribution Ceremony of Senior Secondary Model School of Punjabi University concluded. Registrar Prof. Sanjeev Puri, who arrived as the chief guest, while addressing the students said that sports are a very important part of our life. Participating in sports along with academic activities keeps the body and mind healthy.

Registrar Prof. Sanjeev Puri, who arrived as the chief guest, while addressing the students said that sports are a very important part of our life. Participating in sports along with academic activities keeps the body and mind healthy.
Therefore, students should participate in sports with enthusiasm. Special Guest Finance Officer Dr. Parmod Aggarwal said that the students of Senior Secondary Model School understand the importance of sports very well. Therefore, the achievements of the school are commendable. Special Guest Dean College Development Council Dr. Balraj Singh in his address assured to give all possible support to the school.
On this occasion, special guest UGC-MMTTC Director Dr. Raman Maini and Senior Medical Officer Dr. Regina Maini also expressed their views and told about the importance of sports. School incharge Satvir Singh said that students participated in 72 track events and 15 field events. He said that Gurvirditta Singh and Diya of +1 Arts were declared best athletes among boys and girls respectively. Baba Fateh Singh House won the overall trophy.
During this event, Punjab Police DSP Manoj Gaursi (Patiala Rural) led by Sub Inspector Jaspal Singh and Sanjh Kendra Incharge ASI Bhupinder Singh provided track suits and other equipment to the children.
