Paigam-E-Jagat/Maur Mandi, August 24- Maur Police has registered a case against outsourced workers on the basis of statements of the Sewerage Department's JE against the stopping of the sewerage motors in Maur amid heavy rains. According to the information, the sewerage department workers had been protesting against the government for a long time over their salaries and on August 25, they had given a call to stop the sewerage motors in the entire Punjab, following which the outsourced workers of Maur stopped the sewerage motors.
When the motors stopped due to heavy rains, the city was flooded due to the blockage of water drainage, so the city residents got angry and they held a meeting with the SHO Maur and DSP Maur and asked them to intervene in the matter. On which the police arrested the outsourced workers working under Maur Sewerage and registered a case against them.
The city residents said that on the one hand, nature is taking a huge toll in the entire Punjab, while the condition of Maur's sewerage is completely deplorable and it is very unfortunate to stop the sewerage motors from above. Strictest action should be taken against those who took such a step because due to the stoppage of water drainage, the entire city was flooded due to which the people have had to face huge problems.
According to Maur police, based on the statements of JE Lakhan Kumar of the Sewerage Department, a case has been registered against Jagtar Singh Bhaini Chuhar, Raju Singh, Joni Kumar, Ram Bhajan, Hemraj, Gagandeep Singh, Suraj, Karamchand, Happy Singh, Parminder Singh, Gursewaksingh, Nirmal Singh, Gurdit Singh, Lakhwinder Singh, Happy Singh Kuttiwal under sections 132, 121, 326(C) 190 of the BNS and they have been sent to jail.
