
Desh Bhagat University organized two-day national seminar on 'Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam'
Mandi Gobindgarh, January 31- Faculty of Social Sciences and Languages, Desh Bhagat University, in collaboration with ICSSR, organized a two-day national seminar on the topic 'Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam: India-Centric Approach for Holistic Human Development'. The seminar aims to explore the Indian philosophical perspective on global unity and holistic human progress.

The seminar aims to explore the Indian philosophical perspective on global unity and holistic human progress.
Chief Guest Desh Bhagat University Chancellor Dr. Zora Singh and Pro-Chancellor Dr. Tajinder Kaur attended the program as special guests. In their address, they highlighted the importance of integrating India's rich cultural and philosophical ethos in contemporary development. Eminent scholars and thinkers from various fields attended the inaugural ceremony on the first day of the seminar.
During this, Executive Vice President of Haryana Sahitya and Sanskrit Academy, Panchkula and former Vice Chancellor of Central University, Himachal Pradesh, Prof. (Dr.) Kuldeep Agnihotri, Executive Director of Kheti Virasat Mission, Faridkot and renowned supporter of natural farming and environmental conservation, Umendra Dutt, Managing Director of Amritsar Group of Colleges and National Coordination Committee for Induction Program of AICTE (Online), Dr. Rajneesh Arora, Senior Fellow of Indian Institute of Advanced Study, Shimla, Prof. Bawa Singh, former Chairman of Minority Commission, Government of India, Prof. Avtar Singh of Ramgarhia College, Phagwara, Dr. Ramesh Arora, Professor of Agriculture Department of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Vishwa Vishwavidyalaya, Fatehgarh Sahib, etc. were the keynote speakers.
On this occasion, Dr. Surjit Kaur Patheja, Prof. Kulbhushan Kumar, Prof. Dharmendra Singh, Prof. Ajaypal Singh, Prof. Kanwaljit Singh, Dr. Renu Sharma and Dr. Jyoti Sharma were also present. In their address, the experts emphasized on a holistic approach to human development based on Indian traditions and values.
