
NIPER SAS Nagar, Celebrates 78th Independence Day with Great Enthusiasm
The National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER), S.A.S. Nagar, celebrated India’s 78th Independence Day with great enthusiasm. Prof. Dulal Panda, Director of NIPER, hoisted the National Flag, followed by the National Anthem. In his address, Prof. Panda welcomed the new batch of Masters and PhD students, emphasizing the significance of August 15 as a day of honor and pride for all Indians. He urged everyone to remember the heroes who fought for the nation's freedom.

In his address, Prof. Panda welcomed the new batch of Masters and PhD students, emphasizing the significance of August 15 as a day of honor and pride for all Indians. He urged everyone to remember the heroes who fought for the nation's freedom.
Prof. Panda highlighted the theme for this year’s Independence Day, “Viksit Bharat,” reflecting the government's vision to make India a developed nation by 2047. He stressed the increased responsibility of NIPER to produce skilled professionals capable of meeting the challenges in the pharmaceutical industry. He also announced that NIPER SAS Nagar had received a budget of 100 crores for establishing a Center of Excellence in Antibacterial and Antiviral research.
Prof. Panda shared the institute’s achievements, including high rankings in QS World University Rankings and NIRF, and the faculty’s global recognition, with 40% being listed among the top 2% scientists by Stanford University. He also noted the successful placement of students, with 90% securing jobs, and the highest salary package reaching Rs. 27.83 lakhs.
Additionally, Prof. Panda mentioned the signing of MoUs for research collaborations and the implementation of a Citizens’ Charter for good governance. The celebrations concluded with a cultural program and the distribution of sweets, symbolizing unity and joy.
