
National Voters' Day celebrated, oath taken to exercise the right to vote responsibly
Mandi Gobindgarh, January 28- National Voters' Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Desh Bhagat University. The main objective of this program was to spread awareness among the youth about the importance of vote. The main attraction of the program was a wonderful street play presented by the artists of Kranti Kala Manch, which gave the message of the power of vote in democracy.

On this occasion, Chancellor of Desh Bhagat University Dr. Zora Singh was the chief guest. Pro-Chancellor of the University Dr. Tajinder Kaur attended as a special guest. Media Director Surjit Kaur Patheja and Student Welfare Director Arshdeep Singh were also present with her. District Youth Officer of Nehru Yuva Kendra Fatehgarh Sahib Pankaj Yadav, while addressing the students, shared motivational thoughts about the fundamental right to vote and its role in nation building.
Apart from this, Durg Project Officer Avinder Singh informed the students about the voting process and the responsibilities of the voter in the democratic system. All the people present also took an oath to exercise their franchise responsibly.
