Garhshankar- Ex-Servicemen (ESM) along with their families, children and grandchildren attended the function. Some games and musical chair were played for children, women and ESM. Prize distribution was done by the Chief Guest Captain R S Pathania, President and his wife Mrs. Shavi Pathania.
The office bearers of the society explained the importance of Independence Day in the function. They also remembered and paid tribute to the freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives in getting freedom to the country.
Vice President Balbir Singh, Vice President Kewal Singh, Vice President R K Bhardwaj, Vice President Harmander Singh, Havildar Mohinder Pal, Havildar Boota Singh, Captain Ragho Singh, Lieutenant Sharma, Havildar Madan Lal, Havildar Hukam Singh, Havildar Amrik Singh and others attended in large numbers. Tea was served along with heavy snacks.
The team along with Chairman and President also visited the function and were greeted by Subedar Nath Singh and N.K. Visited the house of Jagdish Chandra who is bedridden and met his family members. On the eve of Independence Day, laddus were presented to his family members and wishes were made for their good health.
