Additional District Magistrate Mr. Harjinder Singh IAS said that synthetic/plastic string is very strong, neither rottable nor breakable. When this synthetic/plastic string is used for flying kites, it is very dangerous for human lives. With this string, the throats and ears of bicycle, scooter and motorcycle riders are cut, there are also many incidents of flying birds getting stuck and dying. Thus, it proves fatal for passers-by and birds, hence it is necessary to ban this string. He said that strict legal action will be taken against the persons violating the prohibitory orders. He said that these prohibitory orders will be in force from 18 December 2024 to 28 February 2025.
