SAS Nagar, December 7- Senior Congress leader Harkesh Chand Verma has demanded from the Deputy Commissioner of the district that traffic lights should be installed at Manav Mangal School Chowk in Sector 88, Chowk near Gurdwara Singh Shaheed in village Manak Majra; Lakhnaur T-point and near Maharaja Ranjit Singh Academy in Sector 77 (near Sohana Hospital and Nagar Kheda Sohna) and police personnel should be deployed to control the traffic.
He said that due to absence of traffic lights at all these places, some accident or the other happens every day, in which many people have been injured and many unfortunate people have also lost their lives. He said that there is always heavy traffic jam at these places and due to absence of police personnel, people do not follow traffic rules, resulting in accidents.
He said that the people here have brought their problems to the court of the government many times, but the whole situation remains the same. He demanded that traffic lights should be installed at these places as soon as possible and policemen should be deployed so that precious lives can be saved by preventing road accidents.
