Hoshiarpur - In the memory of Dr. Prempal Kapila, former member of Arya Samaj and DAV College Management Committee Hoshiarpur, a blood donation camp was organized by his son Dinkar Kapila in collaboration with Dr. BR Ambedkar Welfare and Blood Donors Club Kadiana at the Civil Hospital.
On this occasion, the youth donated blood with full enthusiasm and appealed to every healthy person to donate blood. On this occasion, MLA Brahm Shankar Jimpa, former MP Avinash Rai Khanna, former minister Teekshan Sood, Mayor Surinder Kumar Shinda, Dr. Raman Ghai and employee leader Punjab Kulwant Singh Saini specially arrived and encouraged and honored the Rakhis.
The guests who came on this occasion said that remembering our elders and contributing to social work in their memory is a noble act and Dinkar has done an inspiring job by taking this initiative to keep the memory of his father fresh. During this, about 35 blood donors contributed to human service by donating blood. On this occasion, thanking the blood donors, guests and the blood bank team, Dinkar Kapila said that this was the third camp organized by him in the memory of his father and he is always indebted to them for making this camp a success. He will continue to contribute freely to the above-mentioned institutions.
On this occasion, Dr. Gurika Chopra, in-charge of the blood bank, gave information about the benefits of donating blood and the method of donating blood. She said that any healthy person above the age of 65 can donate blood. She said that due to the presence of a civil hospital here, there is a lot of demand for blood here. Therefore, these camps prove to be very helpful. She called upon the youth to donate blood and motivate others as well.
