Patiala, November 14 - Punjabi University has signed an academic agreement (MoU) with Al Mustafa International University of Iran. This agreement was signed by Punjabi University Registrar Prof. Sanjeev Puri and Head of the Department of Persian, Urdu and Arabic Dr. Rehman Akhtar. On the other hand, the representative from Al Mustafa International University signed it. On this occasion, Dean Academic Affairs Prof. Narinder Kaur Multani was also specially present.
Prof. Sanjeev Puri said that this agreement has been signed with the aim of creating mutual academic cooperation between the two institutions in the field of education, research and culture. He said that under this agreement, both the universities will be able to draw up joint programs in the academic field, which will benefit the students and the faculty.
Dr. Rehman Akhtar, Head of the Department of Persian, Urdu and Arabic, said that under this agreement, special projects will be drawn up especially in the field of Persian, Arabic and Urdu languages. Efforts will also be made to conduct supplementary courses for undergraduate level students by both the universities. Both the universities will jointly organize conferences, seminars and other academic gatherings. Under the agreement, the sources of academic content can also be shared with each other. Director Planning and Supervision Dr. Jaswinder Singh Brar said that this agreement will be valid for a period of 10 years. Amendments can also be made in the terms of this agreement on the basis of mutual consent.
