Nawanshahr - The monthly meeting of Senior Citizens Association Nawanshahr was held under the patronage of Chairman Dr JD Verma. At the beginning of the meeting held in the Deputy Commissioner meeting hall at District Administrative Complex Nawanshahr; Chairman Dr JD Verma thanked the group members and other associates for their support during the grand function organized in connection with the International Senior Citizens Day on October 16 last month.
After this, Master Husan Lal gave detailed information about the activities carried out after the meeting held last month. The members whose birthdays and wedding anniversaries are coming in the month of November were felicitated by presenting flowers to them. Along with this, new members Yogesh Menon, Baldev Krishna and Sukhdev Sharma who joined the association were also welcomed by presenting flowers.
The problems faced by the elderly in the society and their solutions were discussed in the meeting. Members Darshan Dardi, Subhash Arora, Santokh Singh, Sukhdev Tejpal and Jeevan Kumar Pathak entertained the members by reciting their compositions. Finally, Chairman JD Verma thanked all the members present in the meeting. A large number of members were present on this occasion.
