Valmiki Jayanti event was celebrated in Sector-56 Chandigarh

Chandigarh: Valmiki Jayanti was celebrated with great enthusiasm and devotion at Dr Ambedkar Colony in Sector-56. This event was organized by Dr. Ambedkar Awas Colony Welfare Institution.

Prince Bahadur Singh Ghasal, Chairman of Divakag Welfare Organization, was included as the special guest and started the function by offering obeisance to Lord Valmiki.
Starting the function, Mr. Ramesh Chanaulia, President of Dr. Ambedkar Awas Colony Welfare Institute, welcomed the special guest Prince Bahadur Singh Ghasal and other guests and offered flowers of devotion to Lord Valmiki. He gave detailed information about Valmiki ji's life.
He said that this institution has been celebrating Valmiki's appearance day every year for the last 40 years with great enthusiasm and devotion and the congregation prostrates at the Lord's feet in large numbers.
Prince Bahadur Singh Ghasal while addressing the congregation said that Maharishi Valmiki ji has given aduti education to the people as a great poet by composing the holy Ramayana. All human beings should live their lives based on the education given to them. He also appealed to the children to get more education.
On this occasion office bearers of Uttarachal Welfare Association, Himachal Welfare Association along with Veer Singh, Gurjit Singh, Natha Singh, Trilsik Singh, Chanchala Devi, Sunita Devi, Nilabhardat Jasvi, Kanwar Singh, Ajaib Bist, Daulat Ram, Bahadur Singh Gasal, Channi Lal, Ram Kumar Rajbhan, Naveen, and Balwinder Singh were also present. A large number of women were also present in the pandal. In which famous social worker Bibi Sarabjit Kaur also participated.
Finally, a large-scale langar was organized by the organization, in which thousands of devotees enjoyed the langar. During this, bhajans dedicated to Lord Valmiki were also sung, which the whole congregation thoroughly enjoyed.
