
MLA Jimpa honored 11 Panchayats of Hoshiarpur Vidhan Sabha Constituency.
Hoshiarpur - Hoshiarpur Assembly Constituency MLA and former Cabinet Minister Brahm Shankar Jimpa congratulated 11 out of 57 unanimously elected Panchayats of the Assembly Constituency and honored them. On this occasion, he said that the collective decision taken by the panchayats of Hoshiarpur above politics will strengthen the unity of the villages.
Hoshiarpur - Hoshiarpur Assembly Constituency MLA and former Cabinet Minister Brahm Shankar Jimpa congratulated 11 out of 57 unanimously elected Panchayats of the Assembly Constituency and honored them. On this occasion, he said that the collective decision taken by the panchayats of Hoshiarpur above politics will strengthen the unity of the villages.
He said that the consensus decision taken by the panchayats is not only an ideal model of democratic process, but it will also open new avenues for rural development. Brahm Shankar Gimpa announced that the Punjab government will give five lakh rupees as a special grant to these panchayats. This amount will be given for construction and development works of stadium, school or hospital in villages.
He said that as per its promise, the Punjab government is committed to provide all possible financial assistance to the unanimously elected panchayats and complete development of the villages will be ensured. MLA Jimpa said that this step of Hoshiarpur panchayats will promote the unity and harmony of the villages. The unanimous election by the panchayats shows that the rural society has made up its mind to work together for development. This will also increase mutual cooperation and harmony in the villages. Brahm Shankar Jimpa said that panchayats formed by consensus are an example of rural democracy and unity.
These Panchayats will strengthen the mutual community along with the development of the villages. The Punjab Government will provide all possible help to make the efforts of these Panchayats successful. Among the Panchayats who were honored on this occasion, Sarpanch Balveer Kaur of Dhirowal, Sarpanch Mangi Lal of Bahadurpur Bahayan, Sarpanch Surjit Singh of Bilaspur, Sarpanch of Upper Kharak Kulwinder Kaur, Sarpanch Mala Devi of JCT Chauhal, Sarpanch of Basi Hast Khan Amarjit Singh, Naru Nangal village Sarpanch Talwinder Kaur, Basi Jamal Khan Sarpanch Jaspreet Singh, Mohalla Ramgarh Chauhal Sarpanch Punam, Sri Guru Ravidas Nagar Adamwal Sarpanch Kulwinder Kaur, Mochpur Sarpanch Nisha were included.
