On World Tourism Day, students were given information about Eco Tourism in Van Chetna Park

Hoshiarpur - On the occasion of World Tourism Day, a special program was organized at the Nature Interpretation Center at Van Chetna Park, Basi Old. 50 students of Government Senior Secondary School, Nara were invited by District Administration Hoshiarpur and Forest Department in this program and they were made aware about the importance of eco-tourism and sustainable development.

Hoshiarpur - On the occasion of World Tourism Day, a special program was organized at the Nature Interpretation Center at Van Chetna Park, Basi Old. 50 students of Government Senior Secondary School, Nara were invited by District Administration Hoshiarpur and Forest Department in this program and they were made aware about the importance of eco-tourism and sustainable development.
Forest Division Officer Hoshiarpur Nalin Yadav, who arrived specially in the program, said that the main objective of the program was to make students aware of the importance of eco-tourism. Meanwhile, he said that promoting eco-tourism by connecting tourism and environment conservation is the need of the hour. He said that our aim is to promote tourism by connecting people with nature in such a way that tourism activities can be encouraged keeping in mind the beauty of nature.
The DFO said that Hoshiarpur has one-third forest area in the state, which makes it an ideal place for eco-tourism. Considering the biodiversity and natural beauty here, the region offers many opportunities for eco-tourism. He said that its efforts will not only boost tourism, but positive steps can also be taken in the direction of environmental protection.
During the program, the students were given information about various aspects of environmental conservation, apart from plants, animals, birds, at the Nature Interpretation Center. He said that eco-tourism is not only important from the economic point of view, but it also plays an important role in the preservation of the environment. Meanwhile, plants were also planted by the students. District Development Fellow Joya Siddiqui, Jasveer Singh, teachers of Government School, Nara were also present on this occasion.
