Nawanshahr - A marathon was organized from ITI Ground Nawanshahr this morning in the series of various activities being organized under the Revolution Fair being celebrated at Khatkar Kalan on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Shaheed-e-Azam Sardar Bhagat Singh Ji. SSP Dr. Mehtab Singh, Constituency Incharge Nawanshahr Lalit Mohan Pathak, District Revenue Officer Mandeep Singh Mann, District Sports Officer Vandana Chauhan besides a large number of officials, volunteers, students and common people participated in this marathon organized by the district administration under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner Rajesh Dhiman. People attended in large numbers.
On this occasion, Deputy Commissioner Rajesh Dhiman said that today we are breathing freely due to the sacrifices of Shaheed-e-Azam Sardar Bhagat Singh and many other victims. He said that to realize the dream of Shaheed Bhagat Singh and to guard his thinking, we should always be committed and should make a valuable contribution in creating a drug-free and drug-free society. On this occasion, SSP Dr. Mehtab Singh said that for the creation of a healthy society, such efforts will be effective to motivate the youth towards sports and other constructive activities by keeping them away from drugs. Constituency in-charge Lalit Mohan Pathak appreciated this excellent initiative of the district administration and said that such efforts should continue continuously to give good guidance to the children.
Giving a message to guard the thought of Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh, this marathon started from ITI Nawanshahr and passed through Chandigarh Chowk and ended at RK Arya College Nawanshahr. On this occasion, special refreshments were also arranged for all the participants. A lot of enthusiasm was seen among the youth and children towards this marathon.
