
Novelist Mahinderpal Singh Dhaliwal honoured with 'Tasman Award'
Patiala, December 19 - Tasman released the 16th edition of Tasman at World Punjabi Centre, Punjabi University, Patiala. And famous novelist Mahinderpal Singh Dhaliwal UK was honoured with "Tasman Award". The programme was presided over by renowned critic Dr. Jaswinder Singh, storyteller Kripal Kazak and Dr. Bhim Inder Singh. Chief Editor Harmandeep Gill, Managing Director Varinder Alisher and Avtar Tarksheel New Zealand attended as special guests.

Releasing the 16th issue of Tasman magazine, Dr. Jaswinder Singh said that the magazine presents diversity of literature and contemporary literary scenario. Which has a huge contribution to Punjabi literature. Tasman has made its place by doing special work in a very short time. Kripal Kazak said that in contemporary times, it is a big task to bring serious literature to the readers by publishing magazines. Which Tasman is fulfilling. Dr. Bhim Inder Singh made good comments on contemporary Punjabi magazines.
After this, UK based novelist Mahinderpal Singh Dhaliwal was awarded 'Tasman Samman' on the basis of his overall work and best translation. Famous critic Dr. Surjit Brar Gholia expressed his views on his writing process.
On this occasion, famous critics Dr. Dhanwant Kaur, Dr. Lakshmi Narayan Bhikhi, Narpal Shergill, Dr. Arvinder Kaur Kakra, Jang Singh Fattar, Bhajan Kaur, Dr. Santokh Sukhi, Dr. Gursewak Lambi, Balwinder Bhatti, Jasbir Kaur, Narendrapal Kaur, Gurjant Rajeana, Sukhwinder Sukhi, Tarsem Dakala, Sahil Batra, Ram Singh Tarksheel, Balwinder Singh, Chitta Sidhu, Chamkaur Billa etc. presented their views.
