Una, September 3 - About Rs 12.50 crore will be spent on tourism development at Andrauli, a tourist destination located on the banks of Gobindsagar lake under Kutlahar assembly constituency. This amount will be used to purchase equipment for various water recreational activities like jet skiing, kayaking, sailing, and yachts to make Andrauli an attractive destination for tourists. This information was given by Deputy Commissioner Una Jatin Lal while chairing a meeting of Kutlahar Tourism Development Committee (KTDS).

Una, September 3 - About Rs 12.50 crore will be spent on tourism development at Andrauli, a tourist destination located on the banks of Gobindsagar lake under Kutlahar assembly constituency. This amount will be used to purchase equipment for various water recreational activities like jet skiing, kayaking, sailing, and yachts to make Andrauli an attractive destination for tourists. This information was given by Deputy Commissioner Una Jatin Lal while chairing a meeting of Kutlahar Tourism Development Committee (KTDS).
The Deputy Commissioner said that apart from these aquatic activities, food vans will also be purchased to promote local cuisine. Also, efforts are being made to develop a waiting area near Garib Das Temple to provide more facilities to the tourists.
A new chapter of festive culture will begin with the carnival
The Deputy Commissioner said that a grand carnival will be organized for the first time this year in Andrauli. This carnival will run from 25 to 31 December and recreational activities like water sports, cultural programs, local street food stalls, and candle camping will be organized in it. Chief Minister Mr. Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu had given instructions regarding the organization of the carnival during his visit to Kutlehar. As per his instructions, the district administration has started preparing for it.
He said that this event will not only promote tourism in Andrauli but will also start a new chapter of festive culture here. The various activities organized in the carnival will give a new dimension to local culture and tourism.
Instructions to ensure access of devotees to Peer Gaus temple till September 15
Later, the Deputy Commissioner chaired a meeting of the Mandir Peer Gaus Pak Gyaarvi Wala Changar Charitable Society, in which he reviewed the progress of development work being carried out at the temple at a cost of Rs 11.40 crore. He directed to complete the construction of the temporary path to the temple soon and ensure access of devotees to the temple by September 15. Also, tenders will be called soon for leasing out the first and second floors of the temple, and the Mandir Charitable Committee has sanctioned an amount of Rs 3 lakh for paving the courtyard and construction of boundary wall.
SDM Bangana Sonu Goyal, CPO Sanjay Sankhyan, District Panchayat Officer Neelam Katoch, BDO Bangana Sushil Kumar and officers of various departments were present in the meeting.
