Una, July 9. In a new initiative to give a new impetus to religious-spiritual-cultural tourism in Himachal Pradesh, a three-day 'Mata Shri Chintapurni Mahotsav' will be organized at the famous Shaktipeeth Shri Chintapurni. This festival, being organized for the first time, will be celebrated from 14 to 16 September. Deputy Commissioner Una Jatin Lal held a meeting with the District Magistrates on Tuesday at Maidas Bhawan of Mata Shri Chintapurni regarding the organization of the festival.
Let us tell you, Chief Minister Mr. Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, while participating in a program organized in Chintpurni a few months ago under the Government Gaon Ke Dwar program, had talked about taking a new initiative in the religious tourism sector and starting a grand festival. He had given instructions to the district administration regarding its organization. The administration has moved forward as per his instructions and has made preparations for organizing the festival.
The festival will be grand and divine
The Deputy Commissioner called for making the festival memorable by organizing it in a grand manner and asked all the officers to work in complete coordination. He said that along with organizing the festival in a grand and divine manner, efforts will be made to give it a special identity. He said that the Additional Deputy Commissioner will be the Mata Shri Chintapurni Festival Officer, SDM Amb will be the Fair Coordinator while the SP Police will be the Sports Officer.
A grand procession will be taken out during Mata Shri Chintapurni Festival
Jatin Lal said that on the occasion of the inauguration of the festival on September 14, a grand procession will be taken out from Mata Shri Chintapurni Temple to SDM Office Amb. After that the procession will reach the Mata Shri Chintapurni Festival fair site. Apart from this, the Deputy Commissioner said that a multi-coloured souvenir will also be published to preserve the memories of the festival.
There will also be cultural programs and sports competitions
The Deputy Commissioner said that Mata Shri Chintapurni Temple is the center of faith of the people. Thousands of devotees come to visit Mata Shri Chintapurni. This festival is like a gift for all the devotees. Various cultural activities will be organized in the festival to promote religious-spiritual-cultural tourism.
Apart from this, various sports and adventure games will be organized from 1 September to 30 September on the occasion of Mata Shri Chintapurni Mahotsav. He told that adventure games will be organized in Ramlila Ground Amb. While cultural programs, tambola and sports competitions will be held in Government Senior Secondary School Amb. Along with this, exhibition stalls related to the schemes, achievements and programs of the state government will also be set up by various departments.
13 committees were formed for the event
Jatin Lal said that in order to make the festival a success, 13 committees have been formed to organize and coordinate various activities. He said that Mata Shri Chintapurni Mahotsav is being organized for the first time. Therefore, all departmental officers should fulfill the responsibility of completing the assigned tasks with unity. He instructed the concerned officers to inspect the fair site soon.
SP Rakesh Singh, ADC Mahendra Pal Gurjar, SDM Amb Vivek Mahajan and officers from various departments were present in the meeting.
