Patiala, May 20 - Former minister and Shiromani Akali Dal core committee member Surjit Singh Rakhra has said that the victory of Patiala parliamentary constituency candidate NK Sharma from Samana assembly constituency will be ensured with a huge lead.
He was addressing a huge gathering in his native village Rakhra and Nanka village Kalyan. He said that while there is enthusiasm about the candidature of NK Sharma in the entire Patiala parliamentary constituency, there is a lot of enthusiasm about the Akali Dal in the Samana assembly constituency. Rakhra said that NK Sharma is his younger brother whose achievements as MLA, Chairman District Planning Board Mohali and Chairman Municipal Council Zirakpur are in front of the people. He said that on behalf of Akali Dal, we are repeatedly appealing to the people to vote only after seeing the character and performance.
On this occasion, NK Sharma said that whatever responsibility he got from Sarpanch to Minister, he fulfilled it with full hard work, the result of which is in front of the people. He said that he makes a promise to the people that once they see his service as an MP. Then they will know that Preneet Kaur and Dr. Dharamveer Gandhi could not do for Patiala in 25 years, they will do.
