Career guidance programme organised at DAV School and Chaudhary Balbir Singh Public School.

Hoshiarpur- District Employment Generation, Skill Development and Training Officer Ramandeep Kaur informed that District Employment and Entrepreneurship Bureau-cum-Model Career Centre Hoshiarpur organised a career guidance programme for the students of class 10th, 11th and 12th at DAV Government Senior Secondary School Hoshiarpur and Chaudhary Balbir Singh Public School Hoshiarpur regarding their future career options.

Hoshiarpur- District Employment Generation, Skill Development and Training Officer Ramandeep Kaur informed that District Employment and Entrepreneurship Bureau-cum-Model Career Centre Hoshiarpur organised a career guidance programme for the students of class 10th, 11th and 12th at DAV Government Senior Secondary School Hoshiarpur and Chaudhary Balbir Singh Public School Hoshiarpur regarding their future career options.
While starting the programme, Career Counsellor Vishal Chawla told the students about the importance of Employment Bureau and gave information about the facilities provided by Employment Bureau, such as career counselling for the future career of children, studies in various subjects, ITI courses, diploma and degree courses.
Similarly, detailed information was given about the employment generation efforts being made by the Placement Cell, free internet facility being provided by the Employment Bureau, self-employment schemes, short-term technical courses. Apart from this, information was also given about various jobs of Punjab Government and jobs in banking sector.
After this, Ashwini Kumar Kundal from Food Craft Institute informed the students about certificate, diploma and degree courses of hotel management. Along with this, he also informed about the courses being run free of cost by the government. He said that after doing these courses, students can be able to establish their own business as well as provide employment to others.
Warun Nayyar, Head of Career Guidance Department, Lovely Professional University, Phagwara, while addressing the students, said that students should do those courses which are needed in the present time. With this, they can not only get a job in their favorite field, but can also start their own business if they want. During this career guidance program, all the staff of both the schools and 180 students participated with great enthusiasm.
On this occasion, Principal Rajesh Kumar of DAV Government Senior Secondary School and Principal A.S. of Chaudhary Balbir Singh Public School, Hoshiarpur were present. Bedi expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the District Employment and Business Bureau, Hoshiarpur and asked to organize such seminars in future also.
