Una, May 7- In Kutlahar and Gagret assembly constituencies, no candidate filed his nomination on the first day of nomination. District Election Officer and Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal said that candidates can file their nomination papers for the elections till May 14. They will submit their nomination papers to the concerned election officer and SDM. If for some reason the concerned Election Officer and SDM are not present, the candidate will submit the nomination form to the concerned Assistant Election Officer and Tehsildar.
The District Election Officer said that on Tuesday, May 7, no nomination papers have been filed with the concerned Election Officer for both the assembly seats of the district, Kutlahar and Gagret. He said that nomination papers can now be filed on working days on 8th, 9th, 10th and 13th and 14th May from 11 am to 3 pm. Nomination forms will not be filled on 11th and 12th due to holidays. Nominations will be shortlisted on May 15. Nominations can be withdrawn till 3 pm on 17th May. Voting will be held on June 1st from 7 am to 6 pm and counting of votes will be done on June 4th.
District Election Officer said that the candidates filing nomination papers in Kutlahar and Gagret assembly constituencies will have to submit the affidavit and other necessary documents along with the nomination papers. The prescribed amount along with the nomination form can be deposited directly in cash or through challan.
