Nawanshahr:- Vasdev Pardesi, President of Human Rights Awareness Forum Society Nawanshahr, has written a letter to the Punjab government demanding that many elderly people in the district who are blue card holders are being deprived of the wheat provided by the government because neither their fingerprints are taken nor their eyes are scanned, due to which they are being deprived of the facility.
While they are in need of it. Similarly, many new blue card holders, beneficiaries of blue cards, who have been made. They went to the government ration depot with great hope that they will get wheat. But they have to return with great regret. Because the depot holders are being turned away by saying that the government is not sending any wheat quota to the newly made blue cards.
It has been demanded from the Punjab government that the senior citizens who are deprived of senior citizen facilities should be issued the slips by visiting their homes or through other technology so that they can get their share of wheat. He said that in this way, the due quota of wheat should also be sent to the concerned government ration depot holders for the newly created blue card holders.
