Karnal, 20 August:- District Police Karnal is continuously taking strict action to effectively curb incidents of snatching and robbery. In this sequence, the team of CIA Assandh Karnal under the leadership of Sub Inspector Salinder Singh succeeded in arresting three accused who committed snatching incident.
The arrested accused have been identified as Aman son of Sarupa resident of village Chogama, Karnal, Raman son of Subhash resident of Mardanheri, Karnal and Sagar Kumar son of Jila resident of village Ichhanpur, Karnal.
Investigating officer Head Constable Rajendra Kumar said that a case was registered in Police Station Assandh on the complaint of complainant Manish. Complainant told that on the night of 02 August 2026 he was going on foot from Assandh towards Sandhu Feed. During this time three unknown youths came near him and snatched cash and mobile phone from him and fled from the spot.
On the basis of complaint, a case was registered under relevant sections in Police Station Assandh and investigation started. During investigation, police team arrested all three accused on the basis of technical evidence and secret information. During interrogation, accused accepted committing the said incident. On instance of accused, mobile phone snatched from complainant was recovered.
All three arrested accused were produced today before Hon'ble Court from where one day police remand was obtained, during remand intensive interrogation is being done with accused regarding incident and further investigation is going on in the case.
