Volvo CE Launches EC650 Mining Excavator

Chandigarh, September 15:- Volvo Construction Equipment India commercially launched the EC650, a milestone 65-ton-class excavator in its mining range, at 'Boma ConExpo India 2026' on Tuesday.
Powered by the popular Volvo D13E engine delivering 435 HP, the EC650 has been engineered for outstanding durability and best-in-class fuel efficiency. It features a robust undercarriage, heavy-duty boom and arm, and advanced hydraulics, built to withstand the toughest mass excavation and mining operations.
With the buying season underway, the product is available for immediate delivery to mining customers.
At the centre of Volvo CE’s stand in the 'Construction and Industrial' zone is its 20-ton excavator range (EC210, EC215 and EC220), offering versatility for a variety of applications such as road construction, urban construction, quarrying, river-bed mining and more. Also on display are the EC300, SD110, DD90 and L120 electric wheel loader. Meanwhile, the 'Mining Zone' places the EC480, EC650 and L150 at the centre, with the focus being application-led rather than product-led.
Speaking on the occasion, Dimitrov Krishnan, Managing Director of Volvo Construction Equipment India, said that with the EC650, the company is not merely adding a machine to its mining line-up, but providing India’s mining operators with a partner they can rely on every shift.
