Ratia, July 27: As part of an environmental conservation campaign, volunteers from Gurdwara Sahib (Purana Bazar, Ratia) organized a 'langar' (free distribution) of saplings today during the ongoing 'Naam Simran' (meditative chanting) ceremony at Gurdwara Sri Guru Granth Sahib Angitha Sahib, Nathwan. Notable figures present on the occasion included Haryana Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee members Kaka Singh Ladhuwas and Gurmel Singh Sahnal, along with Manager Daljit Singh Piplathe, Manjit Singh, Hardeep Singh, Navdeep Singh, and environmental enthusiast Happy Singh Sethi.
While distributing saplings to the congregation, Kaka Singh Ladhuwas noted that the monsoon season is currently underway; he urged everyone to participate enthusiastically in tree plantation and—crucially—to nurture the saplings so that they may grow into full-fledged trees.
The management volunteers of Gurdwara Sri Guru Granth Sahib, Nathwan, commended the initiative of distributing saplings. A large number of volunteers, including Jaswinder Singh, Surendra Singh, Baldev Singh, Jaipal Singh, Harpreet Singh, Kuldeep Singh, Jasveer Singh, Jagtar Singh, and Harjit Singh, were present at the event.
