Two other accused involved in the theft incident arrested
Karnal, August 25: The Karnal District Police is taking continuous, strict action to effectively curb theft and property-related crimes. As part of this effort, the team from Madhuban Police Station has successfully arrested two additional accused involved in the theft of iron materials from the Panchayat Bhawan (Secretariat).
Acting under the leadership of Head Constable Krishna Lal, the Madhuban Police team arrested Naresh Kumar (son of Dharmpal) and Rajesh Kumar (son of Baljit Singh)—both residents of village Bajida Jatan, District Karnal.
Providing details about the case, the Investigating Officer stated that a complaint regarding the theft of iron and other items from the Panchayat Bhawan (Secretariat) was received on July 24, 2026. Following an investigation into the complaint and verification of the scene, the theft was confirmed, and a case was registered at Madhuban Police Station under the relevant sections of the law.
The police team had previously arrested another accused, Imran Khan, in connection with this case. A stolen iron gate and a rickshaw used in the commission of the crime were recovered from his possession.
Upon intensive interrogation by the police team, Imran Khan revealed that two other accomplices—Naresh Kumar and Rajesh Kumar—were also involved in the theft. Acting promptly, the police team arrested both individuals. The two arrested accused were produced before the honorable court today and subsequently remanded to judicial custody.
