Tribute paid to Sant Longowal by Sabina Arora

Sunam / Longowal, 20 August:- On the death anniversary of Sant Harchand Singh Longowal, a blood donation camp was organized by the Red Cross Society with the aim of serving humanity and motivating people to donate blood. Cabinet Minister Shri Aman Arora's wife Mrs. Sabina Arora specially participated in the camp and while paying floral tributes to Sant Harchand Singh Longowal, remembered his services dedicated to public welfare and social service.
On this occasion Mrs. Sabina Arora, while encouraging the youth and other donors who donated blood, said that blood donation is a great social service, with which the life of a needy person can be saved. She said that every healthy person should contribute to the service of humanity by donating blood according to his capacity.
She said that Sant Harchand Singh Longowal always worked for the welfare of people, interests of Punjab and for the prosperity of society. Organizing a blood donation camp on his death anniversary is an effort to pay true tribute to his feelings of service and humanity.
Mrs. Sabina Arora said that creating awareness about blood donation in society is the need of the hour. She said that need for blood can arise to any person at any time and there is no substitute for blood. Therefore, voluntary blood donation plays an important role in saving human life.
While appreciating the public welfare works being done by the Red Cross Society, she said that such efforts further strengthen the spirit of service in society. While thanking the blood donors, she appealed to other people also to come forward and participate enthusiastically in such social service works.
On this occasion, representatives of Red Cross, blood donors and members of various social organizations also paid tribute to Sant Harchand Singh Longowal and took a pledge to take the message of service to humanity to every household.
