Swing collapses at Surajkund fair One dead several injured DC reaches spot
Faridabad, February 7:- A major accident took place at Surajkund fair. A swing collapsed, killing one and injuring several others. On receiving information, the District Deputy Commissioner (DC) reached the spot. After the incident, the police removed the media from the spot. Immediate arrangements were made for the treatment of the injured.
According to reports, around 15 people were riding on the swing at that time. Panic spread due to the accident. Rescue operations were immediately launched to help the injured. During the rescue operation, a stall operator, Raghav, also used to run a stall at the fair and got injured by the grill of the swing, due to which he sustained an injury on his shoulder. Narrating the incident, Raghav said that he tried to help the injured.
Administration's swift action: After the District Deputy Commissioner reached the spot, immediate arrangements were made for the treatment of the injured. The administration took steps to ensure that all the injured received timely medical attention.
After the incident, the police removed the media from the scene to prevent any disruption in the rescue and relief operations. The accident has also raised questions about the security arrangements at the fair.
