Swachh Survekshan2026 work in progress in 11 old wards of Una Municipal Corporation
Una, February 12:- Survey work is underway under the Swachh Survekshan-2026 in the 11 old wards of the Una Municipal Corporation. The objective of this campaign is to further strengthen the sanitation system in the city area and ensure active participation of citizens. This information was provided by Manoj Kumar, Joint Commissioner of the Una Municipal Corporation.
Self-help groups conducting door-to-door surveys
Manoj Kumar stated that as part of the campaign, members of self-help groups associated with the Municipal Corporation are going door-to-door, not only collecting information related to cleanliness, but also raising awareness among citizens about cleanliness. During the survey, information is being collected on various topics including cleanliness, waste segregation, door-to-door collection, the Swachhata App, and other related topics.
He stated that self-help group members are encouraging citizens to adopt hygienic habits, separate dry and wet waste at home, download the Swachhata App, and maximize the benefits of the Municipal Corporation's sanitation services.
Appeal for cooperation in the survey
The Joint Commissioner appealed to all citizens of the old 11 wards to provide accurate and complete information to authorized self-help group members during the survey, to ensure the success of Swachh Survekshan 2026 and to position Una city as a leader in cleanliness.
Online family list verification and updating work also underway
Manoj Kumar informed that, in conjunction with the Swachh Survekshan, the online family list verification and updating of permanent residents of the old 11 wards of the Municipal Corporation of Una is also underway. Any errors in the family list, including name, age, family relationship, address, or other details, can be corrected with the necessary documents. He informed that for verification and updating of the family list, citizens can bring their Aadhaar card, bonafide certificate, 10th grade certificate, or birth certificate to the Municipal Corporation office in Una.
The Joint Commissioner has appealed to all local permanent residents to attend the Municipal Corporation office in Una on any working day to have their family lists verified and updated. Failure to have the family list verified may result in future difficulties in availing government schemes, facilities, and administrative services.
