Strict action by Karnal AntiNarcotics Cell two accused arrested under the NDPS Act

Karnal, July 29: Acting under the directives of the Superintendent of Police, Karnal, and as part of the district police's special campaign against drug traffickers, the Anti-Narcotics Cell team—led by In-charge Sub-Inspector Rajan—successfully arrested two accused persons. The arrest took place near the Asandh-Jind Road (Highway 152-D) within the jurisdiction of the Asandh Sector Police Station, in connection with a case registered under the NDPS Act.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Ranjeet Singh (son of Avtar Singh, resident of Maulviwala, Patiala) and Swarn Singh (son of Mangal, resident of Chichadwala, Patiala, Punjab).
The police recovered 2 kg 300 grams of poppy husk (an intoxicating substance) and a vehicle from the possession of the accused.
The Anti-Narcotics Cell team arrested both accused while on patrol. They were produced before the honorable court today and subsequently remanded to judicial custody.
The Karnal District Police has appealed to the general public to immediately report any information regarding drug trafficking or illegal activities. The identity of the informant will be kept strictly confidential.
