SSP Patiala Harmandeep Singh Hans holds maiden meeting with district police officers

Patiala, September 05:- Newly appointed SSP of Patiala, Harmandeep Singh Hans, today held his maiden meeting with all SPs, DSPs, SHOs, and branch in-charges of the district police to review the crime and law & order situation, pending cases, investigations, traffic management, and other key policing issues.
Reviewing the district's crime scenario, SSP Hans directed officers to closely monitor investigations, ensure timely disposal of pending cases, and take swift and stern action against criminals, habitual offenders, and anti-social elements. He emphasized proactive policing and better coordination among police units for effective crime prevention and detection.
Prioritizing the Punjab Government's 'War Against Drugs' campaign, the SSP directed officers to intensify operations against drug traffickers, dismantle drug networks, and ensure strict legal action against those involved in the illegal drug trade.
Regarding the anti-gangster drive, he instructed police officers to identify and monitor gangster networks and their associates, taking coordinated action against organized crime, including extortion, illegal weapons, and intimidation.
Harmandeep Singh Hans also reviewed traffic management, directing officers to ensure smooth traffic flow, enforce traffic rules, and take strict action against dangerous driving, illegal parking, and other violations. He also stressed laying special focus on accident prevention.
SSP Hans stated that the district police, working under the directions of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and DGP Punjab Gaurav Yadav, is committed to providing a safe and responsive policing environment to the people of Patiala. Emphasizing citizen-centric policing, he directed officers to promptly redress grievances, maintain close public contact, and ensure fair and time-bound justice to victims. He further instructed them to adopt a sensitive and professional approach while dealing with complainants and victims.
The SSP reiterated that maintaining law and order, preventing crime, combating drugs and gangsters, improving traffic management, and ensuring justice for citizens will remain the top priorities of the Patiala Police.
