Special Campaign for Claims and Objections under SIR 2026

Chandigarh, September 10:- State Chief Electoral Officer A. Srinivas said that under the SIR (Special Intensive Revision) being conducted by the Election Commission of India in Haryana, a special campaign will be organised for the convenience of voters on September 12 and 13 and September 26 and 27. On these dates, all BLOs in the state will remain present at their respective polling stations from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and receive claims and objections from eligible voters.
The Chief Electoral Officer appealed to citizens to check their names and those of eligible members of their families in the draft electoral roll. If the name of an eligible person is not included in the electoral roll, a claim can be submitted through Form-6 along with the necessary documents and declaration for inclusion of the name. So far, a total of 1,71,233 Form-6 applications have been received. Form-8 can be filled along with the necessary documents and declaration for correction of name, address, age, photograph or other details in the electoral roll. So far, a total of 1,30,122 Form-8 applications have been received.
In respect of an ineligible, deceased, shifted or otherwise already enrolled voter at another place, an objection for deletion of the name can be filed through Form-7 as per the prescribed procedure. So far, a total of 16,111 Form-7 applications have been received. These claims and objections can be submitted at the concerned ERO/AERO office. Citizens can also apply online through voters.eci.gov.in as per the prescribed procedure.
During the special campaign, citizens can contact the concerned BLO or Electoral Registration Officer of their area to obtain necessary information and assistance related to the electoral roll. Claims and objections can be submitted up to September 30, 2026. In addition, information can also be obtained through the Book a Call facility on the ECINET App or through the Voter Helpline 1950.
The Chief Electoral Officer of Haryana appealed to citizens to make use of the dates of the special campaign and strengthen democracy by ensuring that their names are included in the electoral roll.
