Major Action by AntiNarcotics Cell in Illegal Arms Case Two Accused Arrested
Karnal, September 10:- Karnal District Police is continuously taking strict action against accused involved in possessing and dealing in illegal weapons. In this regard, a team of the Anti-Narcotics Cell Karnal, led by In-charge Sub-Inspector Rajan Singh, has arrested two accused while taking action under the provisions of the Arms Act in a case registered at Madhuban Police Station.
The arrested accused have been identified as Ugma Ram Dara, son of Chenaram, resident of village Lalana Kalan, Gachhipura Police Station, District Didwana-Kuchaman, Rajasthan, and Anil Kumar, son of Rajeshwar, resident of village Chau Palia, Jaintipur Police Station, District Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh.
The police team recovered one country-made pistol of .315 bore, one live round of .315 bore and one country-made pistol of .12 bore from the possession of the accused. A white Hyundai i20 car used in the crime was also taken into custody.
The team arrested both accused today as per the prescribed procedure. The accused will be produced before the court and police custody remand will be sought for detailed interrogation regarding the network involved in the purchase and sale of illegal weapons and other persons connected with the case. Further investigation in the matter is underway.
