Karnal: As part of a special campaign against drug smugglers, the CIA Assandh team of Karnal District Police has achieved significant success. This operation was conducted under the leadership of CIA Assandh Incharge Sub-Inspector Sulinder Singh.
Acting under the NDPS Act, a police team led by Assistant Sub-Inspector Dalip Singh arrested the accused, Sahib Singh, son of Baljinder Singh, resident of Smart Home Budhakheda, Karnal, on Salwan Road, Assandh. During the search, 1 kilogram 22 grams of opium was recovered from the accused's possession.
The investigating officer stated that a case has been registered against the accused at Assandh Police Station, Karnal, under relevant sections of the NDPS Act. The accused has been produced before the Honorable Court and a six-day police remand has been obtained. During the remand period, the case will be thoroughly investigated and further action will be taken.
