Sisters celebrate Raksha Bandhan by tying Rakhi to their brothers in Central Jail

Hoshiarpur:- Special arrangements were made for the prisoners and inmates today in the local Central Jail on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan. On this occasion, sisters tied Raksha Bandhan to their brothers and prayed for their long life, celebrating the festival in an emotional and family atmosphere.
The jail administration arranged a special meeting for about 500 members of 224 prisoners, during which the sisters tied Raksha Bandhan on the wrists of their brothers and shared the joys of the festival.
During the meeting on this occasion, the sisters emotionally motivated their brothers to return to the mainstream of society and live as responsible citizens after their release from jail. They said that the festival of Raksha Bandhan gives a deep sense of the eternal and sacred relationship between siblings and Rakhi expresses the unbreakable bond of siblings.
As per the directions of Chief Minister Punjab Bhagwant Singh Mann, Cabinet Minister Dr. Ravjot Singh and ADGP Prisons R. K. Jaiswal, special arrangements were made at the Central Jail so that the concerned families could celebrate the festival of Raksha Bandhan with full enthusiasm. In this regard, Superintendent H. S. Gill greeted the prisoners, including men and women, on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan. He said that the prisoners were motivated to remain disciplined and when they return after serving their sentence, they should lead a good life in the society.
The Jail Superintendent motivated them to live in their social life and how to live their life after serving their sentence and to have a positive attitude in life. How to live their life by giving up evils and how to live like a common citizen.
