SIR2026 Claims and Objections Can Be Filed Till September 12

Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, September 11:- Under the directions of Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Election Officer, Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, Ms. Komal Mittal, IAS, the process of receiving claims and objections under the third phase of the Special Intensive Revision-2026 is continuing from August 13 to September 12, 2026.
SDM-cum-ERO, 053-SAS Nagar, Ms. Damandeep Kaur, said that the claims and objections received from the public during this period are to be disposed of by October 8, 2026. Weekly lists related to Forms No. 6, 7 and 8 are being provided to the recognized political parties in the constituency in Forms No. 9, 10, 11 and 11-A for their information and verification.
She said that weekly meetings are being held with representatives of all recognized political parties to provide the necessary information regarding claims and objections. She said that disposal of the claims and objections received during the SIR process is being ensured within the prescribed time limit.
