Seva Sankalp Campaign to Become a Mass Movement

Chandigarh, September 10:- The Haryana Government is making preparations on a large scale to give the Seva Sankalp Campaign, being organised to mark Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s 25 years of dedicated public service and transformational good governance, the form of a mass movement.
Chief Secretary Shri Anurag Rastogi today reviewed the preparations and district-wise action plans of all 23 districts under the campaign and directed all Deputy Commissioners to ensure active and meaningful participation of citizens in the campaign.
Under the campaign, various activities related to public welfare, cleanliness, environmental protection, education, health, innovation and community participation will be organised in different districts from September 17 to October 17, 2026.
The Chief Secretary said that the success of the campaign should not be determined merely by the number of programmes organised, but by the active participation of the people and the tangible changes visible at the grassroots level.
He directed the district administration to ensure better coordination among all concerned departments and to effectively implement the activities of the campaign. He said that the campaign should be taken forward as a collective effort of the government, educational institutions, local bodies, panchayats, social organisations and common citizens, rising above departmental boundaries. The concerned Administrative Secretaries should also ensure regular monitoring of the activities allocated to their respective departments.
Commissioner and Secretary of the Information, Public Relations, Language and Culture Department, Shri K. Makarand Pandurang, said that various activities would be organised under the campaign, including Aashirwad Ka Diya/Blood Donation, Mere Sapno Ka Bharat-Chitra Seva, Namo Seva-Unkahi Kahaniyan, Aangan Milan Seva, Seva Ki Kahani, Seva Jyoti Kalash Yatra-Viksit Bharat Ka Sankalp, Vadnagar to Varanasi, Seva Mera Yogdan, Seva Setu Campaign, Seva Ke Rang-Rashtra Ke Sang, Seva First Innovation Challenge and Sushasan Seva Samvad.
He said that a Namo Marathon would be organised in Ambala district on September 17, while a blood donation camp and drone show would also be organised in Kurukshetra district on the same day.
The Chief Secretary said that the objective of the campaign should be to create such a lasting and positive impact at the grassroots level that citizens themselves become active participants in the development journey. He directed the district administration to work with innovation, coordination and commitment.
The meeting was attended by Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Shri Arun Kumar Gupta, Additional Chief Secretary of the Home Department Shri Sudhir Rajpal, Additional Chief Secretary of the Services Department Smt. G. Anupama, Additional Chief Secretary of the Agriculture Department Shri Vijender Kumar, Commissioner and Secretary of the Women and Child Development Department Shri Shekhar Vidyarthi, Commissioner and Secretary of the Urban Local Bodies Department Shri Ashok Kumar Meena, Director of the Information, Public Relations, Language and Culture Department Dr. Aditya Dahiya, Director of the Women and Child Development Department Dr. Priyanka Soni, along with other senior officers.
