Garhshankar, 3rd February:- A meeting of Government Teachers Union Block Garhshankar-1 and 2 was held at Gandhi Park Garhshankar under the chairmanship of Garhshankar-1 President Pawan Kumar Goyal and Garhshankar-2 President Ashwani Rana. Punjab Subordinate Services Federation President Sham Sundar and Pensioners Leader Balwant Ram were present in the meeting.
In the meeting, first of all, deep sorrow was expressed on the eternal separation of Sardar Piara Singh, former President of Government Teachers Union and former District Education Officer and his valuable services for the organization were remembered. During the meeting, a two-minute silence was observed to pay tribute to him.
It was decided during the meeting that a seminar on the old pension scheme vs. new pension scheme vs. united pension scheme will be organized by GTU and Old Pension Restoration Sangharsh Committee Unit Garhshankar on February 14 at Dr. Ambedkar Bhawan Nangal Road (near Khanpur Gate) Garhshankar. Shri Jasvir Singh Talwara and Hazara Singh Cheema will be the main speakers in this seminar.
Union leaders Pawan Goyal, Raj Kumar, Ashwini Rana and Raj Kumar, Sandeep Badesaron strongly condemned the anti-teacher and anti-education policies of the Punjab government. They said that all the teachers who have been promoted from primary to master cadre in the education department in the past demanded that they be made to join the station without delay.
At this time, Hardeep Kumar, Shashi Kant, Naresh Kumar Mahindwani, Manoj Kumar, Madam Tripti and Manisha Sharma said that it is unfair to impose the condition of TET on the teachers who have been recruited before 2011. Due to which many teachers will be deprived of promotion. Promotions should be based on the experience of the employees. Promotion means length of service and experience.
The education department is doing more work that causes trouble to the teachers instead of giving relief. At this time, Punjab Subordinate Services Federation Garhshankar President Sham Sundar and pensioner leaders Balwant Ram, Shingara Ram assured the organization of full support.
