SC Communitys Complaints Should Be Addressed Quickly Fairly and Sensitively Kuldeep Kumar Dhiman
Una, December 30:- A crucial review meeting was held in Una under the chairmanship of Kuldeep Kumar Dhiman, Chairman of the Himachal Pradesh Scheduled Castes Commission, with the Una police administration regarding the effective implementation of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act. The main objective of the meeting was to ensure justice for people belonging to the Scheduled Castes and to ensure timely redressal of their grievances.
In the meeting, Chairman Kuldeep Kumar Dhiman gave clear instructions to the police administration that all complaints received by the police related to people of the Scheduled Castes should be dealt with quickly, fairly, and sensitively. He also directed that regular information about all such complaints should be provided to the SC Commission so that effective monitoring of the cases can be ensured.
Mr. Dhiman said that the Scheduled Castes Commission is fully dedicated to Dalit families and protecting their rights and interests is the primary responsibility of the commission. He said that the Chief Minister has established the SC Commission office in Una, which will now enable the commission to provide more effective assistance to people of the Scheduled Castes not only in Una district but throughout Himachal Pradesh. He clearly stated that no person belonging to the Scheduled Castes should face any inconvenience at any level and there should be no discrimination in the delivery of justice. The administration will have to work with promptness and sensitivity in this direction.
On this occasion, Una Superintendent of Police Amit Yadav assured the commission that the Una police administration will work in complete coordination with the SC Commission. He said that taking swift action in matters related to Scheduled Castes, ensuring justice for the victims, and their safety is the top priority of the police administration, so that no person of any community has to face an uncomfortable situation.
SC Commission members Digvijay Malhotra, Vijay Dogra, Member Secretary Vinay Modi, Additional Superintendent of Police Sanjeev Bhatia, DSP Una Ajay Thakur, and DSP Amb Anil Patial were also specially present at the meeting. All the officials agreed to further strengthen mutual cooperation for the effective implementation of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Act and to ensure timely justice for the victims.
At the end of the meeting, the chairman said that the commission and the administration will work together to ensure that people from the scheduled communities receive the full benefit of their constitutional rights and that the spirit of social justice and harmony is further strengthened in Himachal Pradesh.
