Ambala, 29 July:- Rotary Club Ambala started year-long free cataract surgery project for Rotary year 2026-27 in collaboration with Satvik Social Foundation and Kapil Eye Hospital at Mahavir Dal Eye Hospital, Ram Bagh Road, Ambala Cantt. Under this service project efforts will be made every month to restore vision of economically weak and needy patients by doing free cataract surgery. On this occasion from Satvik Social Foundation Pramod Garg and his son Nilesh Garg were specially present.
In first phase of project successful free cataract surgeries of 10 needy patients were done which gave patients hope of a new life with improved vision. Club resolved that this service project will be organized regularly every month during Rotary year so that maximum needy patients can take benefit of this service.
Club President Rotarian Dr. Vivek Malhotra said that restoring someone's vision is one of biggest humanitarian services. He said that Rotary Club Ambala will always remain committed to bring positive change in life of weak and needy sections of society.
Project In-charge Rotarian Dr. Kapil Vohra thanked doctors, partner organizations and volunteers supporting this service work and said that this project will continue throughout year and hundreds of patients will benefit from it. Club Secretary Rotarian Dr. R R Suri said that this project reflects Rotary's motto, "Service Above Self". He expressed confidence that this monthly service campaign will bring new light in life of many families. 
On this occasion chief guest Pramod Garg, special guest Nilesh Garg, Rotarian Dr. Ashok Nandra, Dr. Nagpal, PP Vijay Gupta, Dr. Anupama Malhotra, PP Inder Dev, PP Sanjeev Goyal, PP AD Gandhi, DDG Naresh Bhardwaj, Rotarian Sandeep Chopra, Rotarian PP PC Jain, Rotarian PP KK Jain, Rotarian Surinder Goyal, Rotarian Sunil Agarwal, Rotarian Sandeep Gupta and Rotarian PP Pankaj Gupta including many Rotarians and dignitaries were present. In end thanks were expressed to doctors, partner organizations, volunteers and all Rotarians.
