Rahon:- Kumari Simranjot Bharti, Documentation Officer of Jyot Social Awareness and Welfare Society Rahon, said that due to the efforts of Mrs. Navjot Kaur Bharti Municipal Councilor for the renovation of the historical Delhi Gate Rahon, during the meeting of the Rahon Municipal Council dated 05-07-2021, a grant of Rs. 3,00,000/- was approved as per Agenda Proposal No.-24, Series No. 6(bh) and during the meeting dated 17-02-2023, Agenda Proposal No.-15 and the renovation work was started.
Which was stopped soon due to some reasons. After this, to restart this work, Smt. Navjot Kaur Bharti Municipal Councilor Rahon reminded the Deputy Commissioner Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar and the Working Officer Municipal Council Rahon through letter no.-01,02/Special/2023 dated 21/07/2023.
After this, the Jyot Social Awareness and Welfare Society also reminded the Working Officer Municipal Council Rahon through letter no.-06 dated 18/12/2025 for the renovation of the historic Delhi Gate. But this work has not been started even after a long time.
Simranjot Bharti strongly demanded from the Deputy Commissioner Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar that this work of renovation of the historic Delhi Gate should be started soon and completed with high-quality materials.
