Punjab State Pensioners Association Holds Monthly Meeting

Mohali, 09 September:- The monthly meeting of the Punjab State Pensioners Association, District Mohali, was held under the chairmanship of its President, Dr. N.K. Kalsi, to deliberate upon the constitutional and legitimate demands of pensioners, including the issue of Dearness Allowance. During the meeting, various speakers, including Chairman Jarnail Singh Sidhu, Senior Vice Presidents Gurbakhsh Singh, Sucha Singh Kalour and Sardarni Ravinder Kaur Gill, Kartar Singh Pal, Krishan Chand, Bhagat Ram Rangara, Ranjodh Singh Rana and other prominent speakers, strongly condemned the government for not accepting the legitimate demands of pensioners and employees despite the orders of the Hon’ble High Court.
The speakers appealed to the government that if the Dearness Allowance, arrears of Dearness Allowance and arrears of the 6th Pay Commission were not paid in lump sum in accordance with the High Court order dated 03/08/2026, the government should be prepared to face the consequences in the 2027 elections. On this occasion, Professor Dr. Vivek Srivastava provided information regarding the financial difficulties being faced by pensioners.
At the end of the meeting, the President expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the large gathering of pensioners who participated in the meeting.
